Rowing S&C Group Training
Our Training Ground features our rowing-inspired programming, built to push harder, and for longer. Our curriculum will feature plenty of compound strength & power exercises. Accessory exercises with higher rep ranges will also be used to add some body armour to your frame. This training aims to make sure you can push harder, and be more explosive and make sure you are able to row for longer .
This rowing-inspired strength and conditioning training is for Women and men rowers. From youth to adult. From recreation and amateur players to professional rowers.
We have designed a rower-inspired strength and conditioning program involving the weight room and speed work. When you come to Saltus, we will perform a complete performance test to measure key physical indicators and provide you with a detailed report. As your training progresses, we will be able to monitor and measure your performance improvement, which we expect to see on and off the boat.
Increase Your Strength
Power or acceleration is the ability to produce high force quickly. Great for exploding from the start, row with greater power. In rowing, the pushing motion is less than a second, so you must ensure you are exploding through your motions. Exercises used to increase power: Squat jumps, vertical jumps, and more.
Increase Your Leg Strength
Legs are the primary drivers in rowing, we have focus on helping our clients having strong quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes, all critical for effective strokes.
Increase Your Endurance
With a rowing session lasting over 2,000 metres, a well-developed aerobic system allows athletes to row for longer and helps with their ability to recover from the lactic acid buildup. Training methods used to test & increase endurance are the Yo-yo test, 400m repeats, and more.
Increase Your Strength
One of the most important attributes of a rower is strength. How are you able to tackle & absorb contact and collisions? In addition, strength training helps to promote greater injury resilience and better speed. Exercises used to test & increase strength: Explosive Bench Press, Squats, Isometric Mid Thigh Pull and more.
